We know it’s a good-natured rivalry among your cigar-loving friends. Now, H. Upmann and Cigar Aficionado invite you to turn your bragging rights into great prizes.
Here is a list of participating retailers that are hosting H. Upmann/Cigar Aficionado Longest Ash contest parties; you’ll still need to submit your photo on your own, but you can create that ash at an event with fellow cigar lovers!
The H. Upmann/Cigar Aficionado contest begins Nov. 15, 2011 and ends on Jan. 25, 2012. The contest is open to those who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Void where prohibited.
To enter, take a picture of the ash on your H. Upmann cigar before it falls. Post your photo to Twitter with a mention @LongestAsh or email your pic to
longestashcontest@cigaraficionado.com. (A photo with a ruler next to the ash will be most helpful to the judges.) Please, no Google, Photoshop, or artificial ash support (wire) in your images.
Photos will be reviewed and approved by Cigar Aficionado prior to posting. Photos that are sexually explicit or suggestive, violent or derogatory of any ethnicity, race, gender, religion, profession or age group, profane or pornographic, or that contain nudity or any materially dangerous activity will be disqualified. Multiple entries will be accepted.
Top twenty (20) Longest Ash Finalists will be entered into a random drawing for prizes. Finalists will be selected by Cigar Aficionado magazine. The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest.
Grand Prize: Two tickets to The Big Smoke (choice of New York or Las Vegas); your longest ash cigar featured in an H. Upmann ad running in Cigar Aficionado magazine; one (1) box of H. Upmann cigars and a one-year (1-year) subscription to Cigar Aficionado magazine.
2nd prize: Ten (10) winners will have their longest ash photos featured in an H. Upmann Longest Ash ad appearing in Cigar Aficionado and will each receive a one-year (1-year) subscription to the magazine.
Submission of an entry constitutes and signifies the entrant’s agreement and consent that the Sponsor may use the entry, entrant’s name and photograph for promotional purposes and in all media worldwide.
Congratulations to our Top 10 Finalists! Winner of the Grand Prize will first be announced in the May/June issue of Cigar Aficionado in the H. Upmann ad, and then posted here.
